Pool & Spa Inspections & Certifications

The Vic pool safety inspection team is composed of highly experienced professionals with extensive practical knowledge in the field. Known as the top pool inspection service within Mornington Peninsula Shire, we ensure your swimming pool is safe and meets all the necessary pool barrier inspection rules. Our detailed inspection process is carefully designed to check that your pool doesn’t just meet, but goes beyond all of Victoria’s required pool and spa safety inspection laws.

Pool safety is really important, especially in your town and other places in Australia where pools are not just recreational spaces but often an integral part of the residential landscape. We also provide individual advice after thoroughly inspecting your pool for safety measures.

Victoria Pool Safety Standards state that your spa or pool barrier must comply with pool fencing regulations. After inspecting your pool, we will issue a safety certificate the same day if everything complies. This prompt certification allows you to swiftly enjoy your pool with the assurance that it conforms to all safety standards and regulations.

Pool Barrier Inspections across Mornington Peninsula Shire

We provide certified pool and spa barrier inspections across the Mornington Peninsula Shire, helping homeowners ensure their pool or spa complies with Victorian safety regulations and qualifies for a Certificate of Pool and Spa Barrier Compliance (Form 23) (often referred to as a pool safety certificate).

The Mornington Peninsula is a highly sought‑after coastal region with a mix of established family homes, holiday properties, and newer builds—many with swimming pools and spas. With pools and barriers installed or altered under different standards over time, regular pool barrier inspections are essential to confirm your safety barrier continues to meet current Victorian requirements and remains safe for families and visitors.

Our team specialises in professional pool and spa barrier inspections throughout the Mornington Peninsula Shire, servicing localities including Mornington, Mount Eliza, Mount Martha, Baxter, Somerville, Tyabb, Hastings, Bittern, Dromana, Safety Beach, Rosebud, Rye, Sorrento, Portsea, Blairgowrie, Flinders, Red Hill, Balnarring, Somers, Crib Point, McCrae, Arthurs Seat, Cape Schanck, Point Leo and surrounding areas.

Each inspection is completed by a qualified inspector who carefully assesses all critical barrier components, including pool fencing, boundary barriers (where applicable), gates, latches, barrier heights, gaps/openings, access points, and climbable hazards. Where compliance is achieved, we can issue your Form 23 compliance certificate promptly (often the same day), helping you meet council requirements with minimal stress.

WHAT YOU’RE REQUIRED TO DO IN MORNINGTON PENINSULA SHIRE (VICTORIA)

In Victoria, pool and spa owners must register their pool or spa with council and maintain a compliant safety barrier. You must also arrange for a registered practitioner to inspect the barrier and lodge the barrier compliance certificate, and then have the pool inspected every four years to obtain and lodge a new certificate.

Mornington Peninsula Shire provides processes for pool/spa registration and for submitting the Certificate of Pool and Spa Barrier Compliance (Form 23) to Council. After your pool/spa registration is submitted, Council advises you will be contacted with a confirmation letter that includes the construction date, the Australian safety standard your barrier must comply with, and the due date for submitting your Form 23 compliance certificate.

I can’t speak highly enough of John from VicPools. John was able to provide common sense resolutions to compliance issues with my pool fence, which I was then able to resolve very quickly. He went out of his way to accommodate me during a very tight timeline to get the compliance issued. He was very professional, but always very pleasant. I would not hesitate in engaging VicPools again in the future!
Response from the owner:Thanks, Orfy for the great review!!! I'm glad I could help.
