Pool & Spa Inspections & Certifications

The Vic pool safety inspection team is composed of highly experienced professionals with extensive practical knowledge in the field. Known as the top pool inspection service in Mount Evelyn and across Yarra Ranges Shire Council, we ensure your swimming pool is safe and meets all the necessary pool barrier inspection rules. Our detailed inspection process is carefully designed to check that your pool doesn’t just meet, but goes beyond all of Victoria’s required pool and spa safety inspection laws.

Pool safety is really important, especially in your town and other places in Australia where pools are not just recreational spaces but often an integral part of the residential landscape. We also provide individual advice after thoroughly inspecting your pool for safety measures.

Victoria Pool Safety Standards state that your spa or pool barrier must comply with pool fencing regulations. After inspecting your pool, we will issue a safety certificate the same day if everything complies. This prompt certification allows you to swiftly enjoy your pool with the assurance that it conforms to all safety standards and regulations.

Pool Barrier Inspections in the Mornington Peninsula Shire

We provide certified pool and spa barrier inspections in Mount Eliza, helping homeowners ensure their pool or spa complies with Victorian safety regulations and qualifies for a Certificate of Pool and Spa Barrier Compliance (Form 23) (often referred to as a pool safety certificate).

Mount Eliza is a highly sought‑after bayside suburb on the Mornington Peninsula, known for established family homes and larger residential blocks—many with swimming pools and spas. Because pools and barriers may have been installed or altered under different standards over time, regular pool barrier inspections are essential to confirm your safety barrier continues to meet current Victorian requirements.

Our team specialises in professional pool and spa barrier inspections across the Mornington Peninsula Shire, servicing Mount Eliza and surrounding areas including Mornington, Mount Martha, Moorooduc, Baxter, Somerville, Safety Beach, Dromana, Rosebud and nearby localities.

Each inspection is completed by a qualified inspector who carefully assesses all critical barrier components, including pool fencing, boundary barriers (where applicable), gates, latches, barrier heights, gaps/openings, access points, and climbable hazards. Where compliance is achieved, we can issue your Form 23 compliance certificate promptly (often the same day), helping you meet council requirements with minimal stress.

What you’re required to do in Mount Eliza (Mornington Peninsula Shire / Victoria)

In Victoria, pool and spa owners must register their pool or spa with the relevant council and ensure a compliant safety barrier is in place. Mornington Peninsula Shire provides processes for pool/spa registration and submission of your Certificate of Pool and Spa Barrier Compliance (Form 23) to Council.

After you register, Council issues a confirmation letter that includes the construction date, the applicable barrier standard, and the due date for submitting your Form 23 compliance certificate.

State requirements also include having the barrier inspected on an ongoing basis, with pool and spa owners required to get the pool inspected every four years to obtain and lodge a new barrier compliance certificate.

John was very knowledgeable and he helped me thru the compliance process. It was my second audit where he found some breaches that were passed over on the first one not done by John. This was deeply distressing for me as I always thought my spa was fully compliant. Forever grateful that I am now.
Thanks John, see you in 4 years
Response from the owner:G'day Eddie, Thank you for review. You did a great job with the repairs. Glade I could help

John was really excellent when inspecting our pool barriers for compliance. He took the time to explain where we weren't complaint, and gave helpful suggestions and a video on how to rectify our issues. His report and videos were easy to follow. He was prompt with issuing his report, which was great as (of course) we left it until the last minute! It made the process less stressful. He is also just a lovely person to work with! Definitely recommend his business!
Response from the owner:Thanks so much for the lovely feedback Donna. I’m glad the videos and guidance helped make things easier. Really appreciate the recommendation!
